Dermal fillers are small injections of gel, typically made up of hyaluronic acid, the natural substance found in many areas of the body including eyeballs, joints and skin, that can hold 1000x its weight in water. Great for filling in wrinkles, adding volume and defining soft tissue. You can have dermal fillers in different parts of your face: around the eye, cheeks, mouth and jawline, as well as the lips.
Fillers basically restore lost volume to your face and plump areas, so that deep-set lines are smoothed. As we get older our bodies stop producing collagen and elastin, both of which contribute to the youthful look. From the age of 25 your collagen and elastin levels decline 2% per year, and your body will have stopped producing it altogether by your late twenties. Most dermal fillers will last between 6,18 and 24 months depending how your body reacts to them and which hyaluronic acid is used.
You may feel a slight discomfort whilst the filler is being injected into the face. But we minimise this by applying an anesthetic cream before treatment. To provide further relief and alleviate as much pain as possible our fillers contain a pre-mixed local anesthetic which numbs the area also. It’s easy for clients to confuse side effects to reactions, so it’s extremely important to understand what temporary side effects can be expected: swelling, redness, bruising and tenderness. these are all completely normal.
Fat Dissolve Injections

Cannulas are used to perform two injections to every area being treated. An anesthetic solution is added prior to injection for greater comfort, clients have reported good tolerance of the treatment with this. Depending on the number of small pockets of fat tissue to be reduced, the injections are repeated between two and eight times, every 8 to 12 weeks. It’s perfectly normal to experience some level of redness, swelling, tenderness and skin irritation in the area treated for up to six days after Aqualyx injections. You should see a reduction in fat deposits after just one treatment of fat dissolving injections, with the optimal effect being visible after between three and eight treatments. The stability of your fat cell membranes will vary the speed at which you see a difference. Younger clients are likely to have to wait longer for the desired results.
PDO Threads – Skin Tightening
A PDO thread lift is generally used for achieving amazing non surgical face lifting and body tightening long lasting results.
What is it:
Polydioxanone (PDO) threads are sterile medical grade suture/thread that is thinner than hair, made of protein. PDO threads are used to tighten sagging skin on the face, neck, stomach, buttocks, inner thighs and upper arms. They can also be used to treat cellulite and stretch marks.
PDO threads are used for minimal invasive non-surgical face and neck and body lifts as well as rejuvenation and wrinkle reducing treatments, achieving results similar to a non surgical lift. How does it work:
PDO threads relaxes tendons and muscles, whilst a foreign body reaction improves the blood flow to the area stimulating neocollagenesis (the production of new collagen in the skin). This tightens, lifts and tones the skin in the treated area.
What to expect:
For up to a week after the procedure it may feel tender and tight around the sutures/threads If necessary, you can take some simple paracetamol to help with this. The immediate side effects are expected to settle within 2 weeks.
When will I see results:
Results are immediate and get tighter over the course of 2-3 months. The average person can expect the threads to remain in place for roughly six to eight months. Once your skin has absorbed the threads fully, the youthful appearance provided by the treatment may remain for another three to six months thanks to the cell turnover promoted by the threads.
